The Portland Observer, Wednesday, September 7, 1881
Dropped dead – while assisting in making cider at the farm of his son, Mr. 
John Ginnebaugh, in Danby, yesterday.  The old gentlemen Ginnebaugh suddenly 
dropped down and immediately expired.  The coroner’s jury that held the 
inquest rendered a verdict that the old gentleman came to his death from heart 
disease.  He was upwards of 88 years of age.
