ALLEN GIST, 70
Allen Gist, age 70 of Muir, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019. Allen 
was born on December 21, 1948 to Welcome and Annie Mae (Hunt) Gist in Dillon, 
South Carolina. He had a love for cooking southern food, shopping, joking 
around, and he adored his car.

Allen is survived by his daughters, Patricia Gist of Harrison, MI, Amy Gist 
of Farwell, MI, and Shelly Gist of Muir, MI; step-children Christina Smith 
and Chris Dietrich; sisters Francis Berry of Dillon, SC, Netty Mae Hunt of 
Dillon, SC, and Louise Hunt of Dillon, SC; grandchildren Scottie Dietrich, 
T.J. Bower, Cody Coburn, Hannah Bower, Glenny Coburn, Theresa Coburn and 
Ashley Coburn. He is also survived by his former wife and best friend, 
Theresa Smith.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Welcome Boyd Jr. and sister Martha 
Faircloth.

There have been no services planned at this time. Arrangements cared for by
