Martin Lee Gladding, 54, of Lyons, died Monday at a Lansing Hospital.  He was
born July 24, 1938, in Lyons the son of Leslie and Elda Glick Gladding.  He was
a 1957 graduate of Lyons High School.  He married Sandra Fenn in 1958.  He was
employed by Oldsmobile in Lansing as a “hi-lo” driver, retiring in March of
1989.  He was a member of the Ionia Moose Lodge No. 998, NRA, and the Oldsmobile
25 Century Club.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra; his mother Elda Alkins of Muir; his son Kim
of Lyons; his daughter Marti Gladding-Bennett; his brother Wayne of Portland;
three sisters; Joan DeFreyter of Bath, Dora Jean White of Lyons, and Gloria
Steepe of Casper, Wyoming; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Lyons-Muir Methodist church, with
the Rev. Scott Otis officiating.  Burial will be in Lyons Cemetery. 
Arrangements were made by Hull Memorial Chapel of Muir.
