Josephine K. Gladding, 94, of Lyons passed away Sept. 10, 2013 in Ionia.  She 
was born Dec. 1, 1918 in Ionia the daughter of Herman and Katherine (Konen) 
Selbach.  

Josephine graduated from SS Peter & Paul Academy Class of 1936.  She married 
Estel Gladding Jan. 2, 1945, and he preceded her in death in 1992.  Josephine 
worked for A.O. Smith and later for Chrysler before retiring.  She was a member 
of Lyons VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Josephine is survived by her children, Jeanne (Terry) Jeffery of Ionia, Nancy 
(Gilbert) Foster of Florida, William (Cathryn) Gladding of Stanton, David 
Gladding of Lyons, Ronald (Colleen) Gladding of Portland and Katherine (David) 
Frushour of Lyons; 18 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and one great 
great granddaughter.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and 
two brothers, Laurence and Walter.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13, 2013 at the Lake 
Funeral Home in Muir.  Interment Oakwood Cemetery in Muir.  Visitation will be 
5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Funeral Home.  Anyone wishing may make memorial 
contributions to The Lyons VFW.
