THERESA A. GLADDING
MUIR - Theresa A. Gladding, 77, of 254 Elizabeth Street, Lyons, died Monday evening
in Ionia County Memorial Hospital.

Born Dec. 30, 1906, in Evansville, Ind., she was the daughter of Peter and Carrie
Allgaier, She graduated from Evansville High School.

She was married to Howard A. Gladding Sr. in June 1026 in Indiana. He preceded her
in death in March 1955.

A professional cook, she worked for several Lansing area restaurants and also
operated a general store in Lyons from 1941 to 1952, when she moved to Lansing. She returned to
live in Lyons in 1982.

Surviving are a son, Howard A. Gladding Jr. of Grand Ledge; two daughters. Virginia

Hodgman of Orleans and Judith Bone of Lansing; 11 grandchildren, and 11 great-
grandchildren; a brother, Joseph Allgaier of Chandler, Ind., and a sister, Marion
Allgaier of Evansville, Ind.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. from the Lyons Baptist Church, with the
Rev. Paul Carmichael officiating.

Burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery.

The body will repose at Hull Memorial Chapel, Muir, until noon Friday.
