GAYLA GLADDING 1939-2017
   Gayla B. Gladding, age 78, of Ionia, passed away, Monday, Sept. 18, 2017.  She
was born on Aug. 26, 1939, the daughter of Ralph and Mildred Cole.
   She was born and raised in Ionia and graduated from Ionia High School.  She was a
big fan of Elvis Presley, enjoyed doing puzzles an was an avid Nascar race fan.  Gayla 
was an outstanding woman, who was loved by many, she was truly "one-of-a-kind".  She 
was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  
   Gayla is survived by her beloved children, Jeffrey Gladding, Robin Richards,
Jennifer Gladding and Todd Gladding;  five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; 
brothers Larry Cole and Wayne Cole; and sisters, Virginia Worthington and Kathy Bachelor.  
She is preceded in death by her parents; the father of her children, Bradley Gladding; 
and son, Randy Gladding.
   The Funeral Service will be officiated by Pastor Kenneth Harger at 11 a.m.,
Friday, Sept. 22, 2017 at the Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich St., Ionia.  Interment will 
follow at Balcom Cemetery.
 The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral 
chapel.  Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes.  Online condolences may be
