STEVEN JOHN GLASHOWER  1952-2017
   Steven John Glashower, aged 64 (like a fine wine) of Ionia, formally of Saranac,
passed away June 13, 2017.  He was born August 8, 1952 in Grand Rapids, the son of 
John and Mary Glashower.
   Steve married Karen Enos September 25, 1976 in Grand Rapids.  He loved golfing
(the only thing in life he compensated more than his height, was his slice), bowling 
(never quite beating his 90-year old father-in-law), hunting (even though he 
couldn't pull his bow string back), and according to many was the best "pool player 
in Ionia County."  He grew as a man; especially when his knees were finally replaced.
   Steve is survived by his saintly wife, Karen Glashower, of 40 years of what he
termed "marital flipping bliss." children, Lucas and Harmony Glashower of Potterville 
and Lindsay and Richard Sands of Portland; Grandchildren, Thomas and Kinsey Sands; 
Sisters, Diane and Gaylen Demarest of Grand Rapids and Kathy Birnell of Kansas; 
Father-in-law, Howard Enos of Ionia.  He was preceded in death by his parents, 
brother Alan and mother-in-law Marcia Enos.
   Cremation has taken place and there will be a Memorial Service Monday, June 19,
2017 at 11 a.m. at the Lake Funeral Home in Ionia.  Visitation will be on Monday 
from 10 a.m. until the time of services.  In lieu of flowers, those wishing to donate 
may make memorial contributions to Color of Heroes (colorosofheoes.org/donate) or 
LuvnPups Dog Rescue (luvnpups.org).  Fond memories or "Steveisms" may be made at
