Lake Odessa Wave Times, 10 Nov 1932

Claudia Amanda Runyon was born in Odessa Township, September 16, 1887, and died
November 9, 1932, at the age of 45 years, one month and 24 days.  Her childhood
and girlhood days were spent in Lake Odessa, having attended school in Lake
Odessa, graduating from this high school in the year of 1908.  She also taught
school the year of 1908, and the four succeeding years in the Lake Odessa public
schools.  June 12, 1912 she was united in marriage to Eugene F. Glass.  To them
were born three children: F. Matthew, 19; Eugene Jr., 14, and Margaret Jane, 7.

Besides her husband and children she leaves to mourn their loss her mother Mrs.
Margaret Runyan, two sisters Jean Runyan of Detroit and Mrs. Donald Gardiner of
Lake Odessa, also two brothers Clair of Lansing and Leo of Lake Odessa, and many
other relatives and friends.

The funeral was held at the home of the mother Mrs. Margaret Runyan Saturday
afternoon, Rev. G.J. Start of Lake Odessa preaching and Mrs. Orvin B. Garlinger
and Mrs. William C. McCartney accompanied by Mrs. Leon T. Gilson furnished
music.  Burial was at Lakeside Cemetery.
