Ionia Sentinel Standard, 15 Jan 1927

Harriett Crosby Gleason, 88, mother of Irene Palmer of Ionia, and Minnie 
Lambertson of Orleans, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joseph Herrick, 
of Grand Rapids, January 14.  Mrs. Gleason was born in Bath, Steuvend County, 
New York, August 29, 1849.  She came to the vicinity of Greenville and Belding 
in 1871.

In 1886 she was married to George Gleason and of their 10 children eight are 
still living: George of Atlanta, Ga.; John, of Sarasota, Fla.; Frank, of Battle 
Creek; Minnie, of Orleans; Eva, Charles and Edna of Grand Rapids, and Irene of 
Ionia.  She also leaves 17 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and two 
nieces, Mrs. Clarence Chickering, of Otisco, and Mrs. Duane Foss, of Greenville.

Funeral services will be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Herrick, 1535 
Chicago Drive, Grand Rapids, at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon, January 16.  
Interment will be at Orleans.
