George R. Gleason, aged 71 years, died at the state hospital at Traverse City 
Sunday at about noon.  He had been ill for the past year or more and had been 
at the hospital at Traverse City for the last few months. 

His remains were brought to this city Monday night and taken to the old home 
where the funeral was held yesterday afternoon at 3 o’clock.  Burial was in 
Belding cemetery by the side of his wife who preceded him into the great 
beyond just 23 days ago.

Surviving him is a son, Raymond Gleason, of Grand Rapids.  Mr. Gleason was a 
veteran of the Civil war and had lived with his family in this city for more 
than 35 years.
