The Belding Banner, Wednesday, January 5, 1916


After an illness of about six years, Rodney H. Gleason, sixty-four, died at 
his home on Broas street Saturday, January 1, a victim of paralysis.  Funeral 
services were held at the late home Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 o’clock in 
charge of Rev. W. E. Doty.

Mr. Gleason was born in Oswego, N.Y., in 1852 and came to Michigan in 1875.  
He was married to Miss Kate Powell of Rising Sun, Indiana soon after and has 
since resided in Belding.  The deceased leaves to mourn his loss besides a 
widow one sister, four brothers, and several nephews and nieces.
