GOBER LAKE ODESSA -- Funeral services for Fredd C. Gober will be Saturday at 2:30 pm at the Pickens-Koops funeral chapel at Lake Odessa. Rev. Eldon Eldred of Sparta will officiate and interment will be at the Lakeside cemetery. Mr. Gober, 74, of route 3, Lake Odessa, died Wednesday evening at the Grand Rapids Osteopathic hospital where he had been a patient ten days. Born in Camden, Miss., September 1, 1900, he was the son of Henry and Irene Renfro Gober and came to the Lake Odessa area in 1920. August 26, 1922, he was married to Hazel J. Wilson of Lake Odessa. He farmed in the Sunfield area until 1946, before coming to the Lake Odessa and Woodland area where he owned and operated a well drilling and repair business, retiring in the fall of 1965. He is a life member of the Michigan Well Drillers association. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ailene Wheat of Sparta and three grandsons; four sisters, Mrs. Minnie Myrick of Kosciusko, Miss., Mrs. Dena Bourne, of Wiggins, Miss., Mildred Weeks of Madison Miss., and Mrs. Dorothy Kelsy of Minneapolis, Minn.; three brothers.
