Ionia County News - Thursday, April 20, 1939

Mrs. Joseph Goerge, 58, died at Clinton Memorial hospital in St. Johns early 
Monday morning following an operation. Her maiden name was Catherine Geller, 
a daughter of the late Ferdinand Geller. She leaves to mourn their loss, her 
husband, Joseph; three daughters, and three sons; two sisters and one 
brother, besides a large number of relatives and friends. Funeral services 
were held at St. Joseph's church in Pewamo, Wednesday morning. April 19.

This community was saddened by the death of Mrs. Joseph Goerge in St. Johns 
Memorial hospital Sunday night. Mrs. Goerge's maiden name was Katherine 
Geller, and they resided in Clinton county southeast of Pewamo for many 
years. She is survived by her husband; three sons, Roy, Les and Joseph and 
three daughters, Katheryn, Alice and Joan; A daughter, Esther, preceded her 
in death about twelve years ago. Mrs. Goerge made many friends by her 
friendly, cheerful disposition and will be greatly missed in the community.
