Belding Banner – Thursday, 23 June 1904
Last Sunday morning Mrs. A. Truax of the Belding addition received the sad 
news that her little daughter, Isabella Gonyea had died suddenly at Elba, 
Lapeer County and she and another daughter, Mrs. Lena Sawtelle,  left Monday 
to attend the funeral.  Isabelle, who was a daughter by a former husband, was 
only 13 years of age and was well beloved by all who knew her.  The funeral, 
which was held Tuesday, was largely attended.
