Pablo P. Gonzallez, Sr., 87, of 1310 Jordan Lake Ave., Lake Odessa, died
Thursday night at Ionia County Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient
for 2 ½ weeks.  He was born December 24, 1893 in Laredo, Texas.  He married
Gregoria Silvas in 1924.  They moved to Lake Odessa in 1946.  He was employed at
the Lake Odessa Canning Company for several years.  He was a veteran of World
War I, a member of Clinton County Disabled American Veterans Chapter 64, and a
member of St. Edwards Catholic Church in Lake Odessa.

He is survived by his wife, Gregoria; four sons, Damacio Gonzallez, of LaMesa,
Texas, Manuel Reyes, of Pittsburgh, California, Alejandro and Oscar Gonzallez,
of Lake Odessa; two daughters, Mrs. Joe (Maria) Vella, of Lake Odessa; Mrs.
Etrain (Victoria) Ruiz, of Laredo, Texas; 43 grandchildren and 50
great-grandchildren.  One son, Pablo, Jr., preceded him in death.

Funeral mass will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Edwards Catholic Church, Lake
Odessa with Father Louis Badoni officiating.  Burial will be in Lakeside
Cemetery.  A rosary will be said Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at the Pickens-Koops
Chapel, Lake Odessa.  Relatives and friends may visit the family at the chapel
Saturday 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m.
