MATHEW GOOBY, 93 YEARS OF AGE, IS DEAD
Death Occured in Florida and Body will be Brought Home for Burial

Mathew Gooby, died in Florida Saturday after a few days illness. 

Mr. Gooby was born in England 90 years ago. When about 26 years of age he came 
to this country with his family. Three of their children are buried in 
England. When he had been here about one year he enlisted and was a member of 
the One Hundred and Third Ohio Regiment.

Mrs. Gooby died about 40 years ago.

Five children survive him, John Gooby of North Plains, M. Gooby, at Ionia, 
Mrs. Rebekah Graham, Mrs. Kaziah Mulls, Mrs. Hattie Commins, all of Ionia, and 
Mrs. Emma Bogart, who was with him in Florida at the time of his death.

The body will be brought to Michigan in the spring for burial.
