Good who passed away Saturday morning June 30, 1962. The Rev. Glenn McCarty officiated and burial was made in Saranac cemetery. Mr. Good had been in failing health for more time but was hospitalized in Belding hospital for only a week preceding his death. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, July 30, 1888 and came to Saranac with his father and two sisters and a brother after the death of his mother. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Good. He was quite young when he came here and he spent most of his life in this area. He was always interested in law enforcement and spent years in that work being deputy warden of the Michigan State Reformatory in Ionia for several years. He has also been deputy sheriff of the county and had been employed with the Michigan sales tax department. He purchased the Huntley drug store from the late Fred Raymond which he and his wife operated until about thirteen years ago when he sold to Elvin Shook, the present owner. The past few winters Mr. and Mrs. Good have spent in the warmer climates of Florida, Arizona and other southwest states but have kept their home in Saranac. Surviving beside his wife, Nina, are one brother, Henry of Harrah, Wash., two sisters, Mrs. Alma VanDyke of Royal Oak and Alvena Good of Rochester, Michigan.
