Ionia Daily Standard, 2 Sep 1898

A.W. Goodell, a resident of Saranac for over thirty years, and who was a
prominent business man in earlier years, died at his home on Thursday morning. 
The funeral will be held at his late residence on Saturday afternoon at 2:30
o’clock.  He was aged 76 years.

[Transcriber's Note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that he was
buried in Saranac Cemetery.]
