Lake Odessa Wave-Thursday February 2, 1978

A. Goodemoot Passes Away

Allyn John Goodemoot, age 90, of 1609 Knoll Road, Portland, Michigan,, passed 
away Sunday afternoon at the Ionia Manor where he had been a patient for one 
year.

He was born September 22, 1887 in Sebewa Township, the son of George and Thursa 
(Peacock) Goodemoot. He married Florence Fox, Sept. 16, 1913 in Odessa Township. 
She passed away July 18,1974. He was a member of the Sebewa Church of Christ.

Survivors include; 2 sons, Merle and Richard of Portland; 2 daughters, 
Mrs.Gerald (Ruby) Williams of Lake Odessa and Mrs.Kenneth (Ruth) Thorpe of 
Portland; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; and 
several nieces and nephews. A son, Earl passed away July 9, 1977.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1:30 PM at the Pickens-Koops Funeral 
Chapel in Lake Odessa with the Rev. Elwood Norton officiating. Burial in 
Lakeside cemetery.
