For the past three years, Greg had been employed with Meijer’s in Greenville where he had been recognized as Employee of the Month for his outstanding performance. Greg had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to entertain his family and friends. He had a tremendous appreciation for the outdoors, and enjoyed watching all the wildlife on his 10-acre homestead. He loved his garden where he grew a large amount of produce; some of which he donated to Millie’s, his favorite restaurant in Belding. He was respected for his generosity and patience. Greg could also be introspective and analytical. He was a deep thinker, and often expressed his creative imagination through his artwork with sketching and painting. Greg will be sadly missed by his sons, Michael Goodemoot and Kevin Goodemoot; parents, Russ and Mo Goodemoot, and Judy and Gene Taber; his immediate family, Julie Johnson, Karen and Dennis Kauffman, Gary and Kim Goodemoot, Jill and Brian Maksimowski; step-family, Mark and Sharon Zimmerman, Julie Zimmerman, and Kelly and Trevor Smith, grandparents, Russ and Cleo Rann, and Trudy Raymond; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Forrest and Verna Mitchell, and Francis and Ethel Goodemoot; and his brother-in-law, Rick Johnson. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Wed., Nov. 16 at the Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thurs., at the Koops Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Woodland Memorial Park.
