The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Friday, February 19, 1954
Vaughn Goodemoot, 61, died Wednesday, February 17, at Veterans Hospital in 
Dearborn, where he had been a patient for the past three weeks.  He had been 
in ill health for several years.

Mr. Goodemoot had been a lifelong resident of Sebewa township where he was 
born October 10, 1892.  He was the son of George and Thursa Goodemoot.  He was 
a veteran of World War I, and a member of the Dale Hyland Post No. 129, 
American Legion at Portland and a member of the Church of Christ at Sebewa.

He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Charles Andrews of Ionia and one brother, 
Allyn of Portland.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1:30 p.m. for the Pickens 
funeral chapel.  Burial will be in Lakeside cemetery.  Services will be under 
the auspices of the Legion post.
