Lake Odessa Wave - October 25, 1956
          ARTHUS GOODENOUGH DIED TUESDAY
   Arthur G. Goodenough 76, retired farmer and lifelong resident of Ionia county
passed away unexpectedly at 
his farm home on Bipple Road Northeast of town, Tuesday morning.
   He was well known throughout the county as he owned and operated a grain thresher
for many years.
   His wife Blanche passed away October 7, 1955, and they had been married 48 years
at the time of her 
death.  They had resided on the same farm for the past 23 years.
   Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Edith Smith, Lake Odessa and Mrs. Jesse Wright of
Lyons, route 1, nieces and 
nephews.
   Mr. Goodenough reposes at the Pickens Funeral Chapel where funeral services will
be held Friday at 1:30 
p.m. with burial in Lakeside Cemetery.
   Coroner Dale Kauffman and Sheriff Peter Van Vieck of Ionia and Deputy Dale Hynes
investigated and Mr. 
Kauffman reported death was due to a heart ailment.
