Ionia Sentinel Standard, 20 Jan 1969

Naomi T. Gooding, 84, of 303 S. Front, Belding, died Friday at Arcadia nursing
home at Berrien Springs.  She was a lifelong Belding area resident.  A retired
schoolteacher, at one time she was the only known woman woodworking manual
training teacher in the country.  She was the daughter of Zethinah W. Gooding
and Martha Jones Gooding and a member of the Christian Science Church of Belding.

Surviving is a brother, Ernest Gooding of North Ft. Myers, Fla.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. Fitzjohn-Courser funeral home in
Belding.  Christian Science services will be in charge of Mrs. Clark Oliver,
reader.  Interment will be at River Ridge Cemetery, Belding.
