(Schneider) Goodman, 82, of Portland passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2007. She was born on May 30, 1925 in Dallas Twp., Michigan the daughter of Walter and Anna (Thelen) Rademacher. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Marie is preceded in death by her husband, Harold in 1982 and second husband, Elon Goodman in 2003; siblings, Fr. Ray Rademacher and Julia Spitzley; and granddaughter, Ashley. She is survived by her daughters, Ann (Lee) Rademacher of DeWitt, Susan (David) Wenstrom of Lansing, Karen (Doug) Marshall of Rives Junction, and Kayla (Tim) Hengesbach of Westphalia; sons, Robert (Diane) Schneider of St. Helen, James (MaryAnne) Schneider of Grand Rapids, Thomas (Rita) Schneider of Lowell, Donald (Sharon) Schneider of Portland, Douglas (Debra) Schneider of Portland, Roy (Cena) Schneider of Portland, Phillip (Laura McMillan) Schneider of Portland, Paul Schneider of Portland, Larry (Lisa) Schneider of Portland and Russ (Melanie) Schneider of Portland; 32 grandchildren; 11 great- grandchildren; siblings, Urban (Theresa) Rademacher, Doris Linabery, Louis (Gladys) Rademacher, William (Elida) Rademacher and Esther (Urban) Thelen; brother-in-law, Ed (Florence) Schneider; and sister-and-law, Dorothy Heckman. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Larry King at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 9, 2007. Rite of Committal will follow at Portland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday at Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland. The rosary will be prayed at 3 and 8 p.m. on Tuesday and 3 p.m. Wednesday, with a Scriptural Wake Service being prayed at 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Patrick Athletic Association in Marie's name.
