Charles M. Goodmiller
Charles M. Goodmiller, age 90 years, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2021 
surrounded by his family. Charles was born in Lawton, OK to James and Mary 
Goodmiller.

Charles attended Oklahoma University played tackle with the Sooner football 
program, and went on to serve in the Korean War as an Army First Lieutenant if 
Ordinance and Equipment Inspection. While serving in the military, he met and 
married Navy Seaman Ellen T. LaCase.

Charles owned and operated  Giants Enterprises of Ionia for the next five 
decades, he enjoyed snowmobiling trips to the Upper Penninsula, gardening, 
mowing, collecting old cars and antiquing with his wife Ellen.

Charles will be sadly missed by his daughters Teresa Listerman, Ellen (Ronald) 
Bowling, son Michael Goodmiller, grandchildren Amanda (Wayne) Willaman and Erin 
(Jeff) Melnick, grandson Logan (Sarah) Bowling, great-grandchildren, Macy and 
Natalie Willaman, Jaxon and Elise Melnick. Brother Ken Goodmiller, sister Mary 
Green (Robert) and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding in death include beloved wife Ellen, son-in-law Charles Listerman, 
sister Edith Parsons, brothers James Goodmiller and Roy Goodmiller.

Cremation has taken place and based on his wishes no memorial will be held. In 
lieu of flowers, contributions in Charles name may be made to Ionia Sparrow 
Hospital.
