Michael is survived by his sisters Terri Listerman, and Ellen (Ronald) Bowling. He is also survived by his nieces Amanda (Wayne) Willaman, Erin (Jeff) Melnick, and his nephew Logan (Sarah) Bowling along with great nieces and nephew Macy, Natalie Willaman and Jaxon, Elise Melnick. Mike graduated from Ionia High School in 1976 and took other vocational training over the course of his life. He later worked in the family business specializing in sales/retail, parts and service at Giants Enterprises in Ionia Michigan. Prior to retiring Mike finished his career at Grand Pointe Marina in Lansing, Michigan. Mile enjoyed traveling and took many trips over the years.He enjoyed snowmobiling with family and friends in Michigan and Canada and he enjoyed traveling to many family reunions with relatives from Oklahoma to Massachusetts that included visiting historical family homes, seeing the witches of Salem, visiting the beautiful coastline and beaches, shopping in antique shops and flea markets, eating fresh seafood, watching harry Potter movies in the hotel, flying first class, and being driven around by his sisters. Over the years Mike enjoyed a variety of hobbies and interests.He liked collecting Gulf Oil memorabilia, attending Classic Car shows and events, and driving, tinkering with and showing his 1959 Thunderbird. Mike was also active in his community helping with the Boy Scouts and participating with Jaycees activities and projects. After Mike retired, he enjoyed spending time in is yard, mowing and doing yard projects as well as building model trucks and cars, taking drives, and going to the movies. Mike was a family man and a true friend to othersHe loved to spend time with extended family at family reunions. He enjoyed many holiday celebration with family especially with his great nieces and nephew. Mike also truly looked forward to visits and phone conversations with his special friends Coleen, Marilyn and Paul. Mike will be forever remembered and sadly missed by his family and friends. A gathering to celebrate Mike's life will take place on Sunday June 27, 2022 from 12 pm-3 pm at Just Like Home, located at 330 Fourth St. Ionia,MI. 48846. A private burial with family is planned following the celebration. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to your favorite charity in memory of Mike Goodmiller.
