She was born in Lowell township, Kent county, August 15, 1891. On August 16, 1909 she was married to Edward Goodsell of Saranac who died August 16, 1929. The family resided on a farm near Clarksville, until about eight years ago when Mrs. Goodsell and her children moved to Lake Odessa. The deceased was a member of the Congregational church here. Mrs. Goodsell is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Gertie English of Kent City and Mrs. Edna Gilliland at home, a son, A. C. M. Lawrence Goodsell serving with the Navy in South America, now home on leave. Another son, Sgt. Carol Goodsell was killed in action, May 23, 1944 in the North African Campaign. Also surviving are her mother, Mrs. Gertie Yeiter of Kalamazoo, and several brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at the Congregational church here, the Rev. J. W. Winger officiating, assisted by the Rev. E. H. Humphrey of Saranac. Burial will be at Saranac.
