Lake Odessa Wave-Times - October 15, 1931

OBITUARY OF MRS. BYRON GOODSELL

Lydia Ethel Dintaman, daughter of Abel and Elizabeth Dintaman, was born in 
Jasper county, Missouri, January 3, 1885, and departed this life at her home in 
Lake Odessa, October 4, 1931, at the age of 46 years, nine months, and one day.

She was united in marriage November 5, 1929, to Joseph Byron Goodsell of Lake 
Odessa where she has lived since the time of her marriage, winning many friends.

She was converted in early life and united with the Elmdale Church of the 
Brethren, of which she was a member at the time of her death.

She was preceded in death by her mother in the year of 1928 and two brothers 
Ivin C. and Earl S.

Although her sickness caused much suffering she always had some word of cheer 
when one entered her sick-room.

She leaves to mourn their loss a faithful husband, father, two brothers, William 
of Vestaburg and Ira of Ann Arbor, and a host of relatives and friends.

We wish to thank the neighbors and friends, M.E. church, Horse-shoe club, 
Commercial club and the Firemen for flowers, also Rev. Wilkins, Rev. Deardorff, 
and the singers for their services, and all who helped us in any way during our 
sad hour of bereavement.
