Ionia Sentinel, 2 Apr 1875

Goodwill. – Burdick Goodwill, in Otisco, January 25, 1875, aged 69 years and 10
months.  He left a grief-stricken wife who was unable to attend his funeral,
having been prostrated upon her bed on the day of his death.  It was thought
that she would not be left lonely many days it; but God in His mercy spared her
to be at last gathered home with her husband.  Mrs. Goodwill wishes to express
her heartfelt thanks to kind-hearted neighbors who neglected their own homes to
help her in her deep affliction.
