Hastings Reminder - March 12, 2011


CLARKSVILLE, MI – 

Richard L. Goodwin, age 64, of Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 
2011 at his farm doing what he loved.

He was born November 21, 1946 in Alma, the son of Al and Alice (Heilman) 
Goodwin.

He was employed with Spartan Stores for 18 years and was also a self-employed 
truck driver.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents Arvil and Thelma Heilman; sister, 
Paula Goodwin; great grandson, Baby Jacob and brother-in-law, Leonard Blough.

Surviving are his wife, Darleen Goodwin; children, Tana (Jim) Boger, Tara Todd, 
Ricky (Brianne) Goodwin, Justin (Rachael) Goodwin, Jason Richey, Julie (Ed) 
Sanders, Jackie (Scott) Foster, Jeanine (Bob) Hynes, Jeanette Overholt; 14 
grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren with one of the way; siblings, Paul 
(Carol) Goodwin, Tammy (Dave) Tichelaar, Julie (Mike) Kenney and Judy Goodwin; 
parents –in-law, Lloyd and Ella Blough. 

Visitation with the family will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. on Monday, March 14, 
2011 at the Fellowship Hall of the Alto Apostolic Christian Church, 7700 
Wingeier Road, Alto. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at the 
Alto Apostolic Christian Church, 7157 Wingeier Road, Alto. 

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Koops Funeral Chapel – Lake Odessa.
