Portland Review - Sunday, April 2, 2005

Bernard Keith Goodwin, 74, of Portland passed away March 22, 2005 in Lake 
Okechobee, Fla.

He was born in Ionia April 24, 1930 the son of Elton and Cereta (Wandell) 
Goodwin. Mr. Goodwin was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean 
War. Bernard was a member of the Conservation Club, and he was an avid 
gardener, golfer and fisherman. He also loved to play cards.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Elton and Joe Goodwin; 
sister, Lorraine.

Surviving are his wife, Ann Goodwin of Portland; sons, Ken (Dawn) Goodwin of 
Lansing, Keith (Siri) Goodwin of Spring, Texas, Kevin (Linda) Goodwin of 
Portland and Ken (Sharalyn) Monks of Elsie; daughters, Kerri (Neil) Goodman, 
Kendra (Mike) Zumsteg, Brenda Monks and Robin (Scott) Hoppes, all of Portland; 
16 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; his special riding buddy Sidney 
Monks; brothers, Burdette (Joyce) Goodwin of Arizona and Elmer (Dawn) Goodwin 
of Wolverine; sisters, Reva and Eileen of Maple Rapids.

Services were conducted by the Rev. Marilyn V. Danielson, Pastor of the First 
Congregational Church of Portland March 28 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral 
Home, Portland. Interment followed at North Eagle Cemetery.
