Lyons- Mrs. Orpha Goodwin, 89, died early Saturday morning at the home of 
her daughter, Mrs. John Beyne, Holmnden avenue NW. Grand Rapids, where she 
had lived about six years.

Mrs. Goodwin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John  Rock, lived at Lyons and in the 
area all her life until Mr. Goodwin died about six years ago when she moved 
to the home of her daughter. 

Mrs. Goodwin was a member of St. Thomas Catholic church in Grand Rapids. She 
was married to William Lawless who died several years ago. Later she was 
married to Ingham Goodwin. 

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Marian Martin of California, Agnes 
Lawless, sister Benedicta of Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Beatrice Stegena of 
Charlotte and Mrs. Beyne; one son, William Lawless of Traverse City; 10 
grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday at St. Thomas Catholic church in Grand 
Rapids with burial in Mt. Olivet cemetery at Ionia.
