Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 6 Jan 1977

Effie Goodwin, 80, 217 Monroe street, Allegan, a former Lyons-Muir-Portland area
resident died Wednesday at Pine Oaks nursing center in Allegan.  She was born
October 2, 1896 in Montcalm county the daughter of George and Ellen Burns Ralph.

Her husband, Nelson Goodwin preceded her in death.  Survivors include two sons,
Rolla and Harold of Allegan, six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Services are Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Neller funeral home in Portland with Rev.
C. Vermilih and Rev. Baahue officiating.  Burial is in Portland Cemetery.
