April 14, 2012 Kelliary Sue "Kelli" Gorby died April 12, 2011 after along and courageous battle with lung cancer. Kelli was born July 21, 1962 to Leora and Thomas Listerman. Kelli graduated from Ionia High School and worked for the Department of Corrections (Handlon Michigan Training Unit) for 14 years, retiring in 2010 for health issues. Kelli married Scott Gorby on Oct. 24, 1980 together having for children and recently celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary. Kelli is survived by her husband, Scott; parents, Leora Listerman, Thomas (Bonnia) Listerman; and children, Sarah (Randy) Schmid, Morgan (Ron) Schmid, Garth (Sarah) Gorby and Bronwyn Gorby; grandchildren, Lauryn, Allyson and Jaysen Schmid, Kaylee, Bryce and Carson Schmid, and Garret Gorby; parents-in- law, Ellen and Jr. Trumble, and Gene and Char Gorby; brothers, Wes (Diane Sayers) Listerman, Trent (Annette) Listerman and Aaron (Angie)Listerman; brothers-in-law, Kevin (Lynette) Gorby, Brian (Audra) Gorby and Darryl Gorby; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cuzins. Kelli is preceded in death by all her grandparents; uncles, Gordon Burns, Clint Antcliff and Chuck Listerman; aunt, Shirley Rusnell; and cuzin, Cheryl Lynn Burns. Kelli's special interests were her family and grandchildren with every Sunday being supper and playtime at "NANA'S". Visitation will be held 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Shiloh Community Church with Pastor Kenneth Harger officiating. Cremation has taken place per Kelli's wishes with burial at Easton Cemetery.
