Laurel G. Gorby, age 87, of Saranac, formerly of the Cedar Springs area, 
passed away Thursday, August 5, 2004.  

Laurel was preceded in death by two husbands, Pearl Gorby in 1965, and Olin in 
1973, two grandsons, Randy Nagelhout and Craig Gorby, one brother Albert 
Barnes and two sisters Belle Cooper and Vivian Channey.  She is survived by 
six children; Beverly (Sonny) Dean of Fla., Eugene (Charlene) Gorby of Ionia, 
Ken (Shannon) Gorby of Tenn., Marcia (Jerry) Gaetano of Bloomingdale, Ill, 
Keith (Lorraine) Gorby of Ionia and David (Glenda) Gorby of Belding, 25 
grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, several 
nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Laurel are Monday at 1 p.m. at Red Pine Bible Church.  
Interment at Chubbock Cemetery will follow.  Visitation is Sunday 3 p.m. to 6 
p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church.  The 
family is being served by Bliss-Witters Cedar Chapel, 13603 Northland Drive, 
NE., Cedar Springs.  Memorial contributions to Red Pine Bible Church have been 
suggested.
