Bill R. Gordon, 83, of Ionia, passed away Sept. 17, 2012. He was born June 26, 
1929 in Rockford, the son of Glenn and Pearl (Bartholomew) Gordon.

Bill married Jean Peters, March 31, 1962. He worked for General Motors as a 
Crane operator. Bill served in the Army.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Jean Gordon of Clarksville; 
sons, Richard (Alta) Gordon of Alto, Ronald (Pat) Gordon of Sheridan and 
Raymond (Bonnie) Gordon of Muskegon; grandchildren, Jess Gordon of Alto, Bruce 
(Dora) Gordon of Ohio, Jason (Charity) Gordon of Greenville, Andy Gordon of 
Muskegon, Billy (April) Gordon of Sand Lake; Shannon Sumner of Grand Rapids, ad 
Joe (Jennifer) Gordon of Lowell; 13 great grandchildren; brother, Jack (Kathy) 
Gordon of Six Lakes; sister, Pat Gordon of Reed City, and Nancy (Dave) Krey of 
Arizona and best friends Phyllis and Jim Detmer of Pierson.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Jessica.

Funeral services will be held Friday, 11 a.m. at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia 
with Pastor Jim Vanderwalker officiating. The family will receive friends and 
relatives Thursday 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
