Tuttle Road, Ionia, died Saturday morning at his residence. He was born March 20, 1895, in Horden, England, the son of Robert and Anne Gordon. He was married March 28, 1947, in Ionia to Amelia Kress. He was employed at Michigan Reformatory for 16 years, retiring in 1960. He was also a veteran of World War I having served in Russia, and was a former member of the American Legion posts in Saranac and Ionia. He was also a member of the Farm Bureau. He is survived by wife, Amelia (Millie), a nephew, Robert Gordon of South Haven, and a niece, Florence Sheurer of Florida. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Roetman Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Sorensen officiating. Burial will be in Balcom Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. ------------ Funeral services for Ernest Gordon of Ionia, who died Nov. 26, were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Roetman Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Sorensen of Ionia First United Methodist Church officiating. Renate Conrad was the organist. Burial was in Balcom Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Wallace Miller, Ray Horrocks, Elmer Geik Sr., Clarence Kress, Edgar Strong, and Ted Wolthuis. Following graveside services, lunch was served to family and friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Marcussen of Ionia.
