The Ionia Daily Sentinel, Saturday, November 14, 1908

Death came to claim Miles Gorham Sunday at the eleventh hour.  Mr. Gorham was 
born in New York state July 2, 1828.  He moved to this county in 1861 and 
since then he has lived on the farm where he died.

In 1856 he united in marriage with Miss Sarah M. Twichell, of Wayne county, 
N.Y., with whom he lived a happy life until she passed away on June 26, 1900.  
A few years later he married Mrs. Hate, of Ionia, with whom he lived until his 
death.

Mr. Gorham was taken with a stroke of apoplexy Saturday afternoon about three 
o’clock and was cared for by Dr. Lefendorf until he passed away about eleven 
o’clock Sunday.

Deceased is survived by a wife, a daughter, Mrs. Homer Krieble, of Liberal, 
Kansas, and two sons, John, of Lake City, and Herbert, of Ionia.  

Arrangements have not yet been made for the funeral, awaiting a response from 
the daughter.
