The death of Mrs. Lee Gorman, aged 27 years, occurred at the family home, at Lansing, last Thursday afternoon, following an illness of scarlet fever. Owing to the contagious nature of the disease a private funeral was held in Lansing and the remains brought to Portland for burial. Mrs. Gorman was formerly Rhoda Moriarty, daughter of Michael Moriarty, and sister of Miss Mary Moriarty, of the Webber State Savings Bank. She was born in Portland where she graduated from St. Patrick academy and public schools. She was also a graduate of the Lansing Business University. Two years ago she was married to Mr. Gorman and had since been living in Lansing where her husband is employed at the Arbaugh store.
