Dale Gorsuch, 73, of Palo, formerly of Vestaburg, died Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2002,
at his home.  He was born Aug. 13, 1929, in Alma, the son of Charles O. and
Mildred I. Greer Gorsuch.

Duane was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors.  He attended
Beth Haven Baptist Church, Greenville, and was an active member of Belding AA
and spoke throughout the state at AA meetings.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, James Gorsuch; two
great-grandchildren; four sisters, Gertrude Stinchcombe, Donnavere Monroe,
Eileen Stanley and Doris Solmonson; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Gorsuch; and
brother, Charles Gorsuch.

He is survived by four sons, Lyn and Shelly Gorsuch of Traverse City, Larry
Gorsuch and friend Kellie of Highland, Louis and Candy Gorsuch of Ionia, Randy
and Tammy Gorsuch of Canton; four daughters, Diana and Dennis Lance of Belding,
Sandy and Dale Bretz, Debbie Gorsuch and fiancé Gary Beausoleil, Tracy and Ron
Lewis, all of Highland; his companion Rose Mary Walker of Palo; 38
grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; two
sisters, Coleen Jenkins of Vestaburg, Shirley and Paul Waldron of Carson City.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Friday at Lux and Schnepp Funeral Home, Riverdale,
with the Rev. Kevin Crowell of Beth Haven Baptist Church, Greenville,
officiating.  Interment is in Richland Township Cemetery, Vestaburg.  Visitation
is today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.  Memorial
contributions may be made to Ionia Area Hospice.
