C. and John Goss of this village, died suddenly while at work in the field on his father’s farm 8 miles east of this village. The cause, we believe, was the bursting of a blood vessel. His hired man was with him at the time, but nothing could be done for him, death ensuing almost immediately. The deceased had not enjoyed good health for some time, although he was feeling no worse than usual, and attended church in this village only last Sunday. He was about 32 years of age, and leaves a wife and two children.
