Goss, age 87 of Defuniak Springs, FL departed to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday Feb. 18, 2024 at home surrounded by his wife and girls. Tom was born and raised in Charlevoix, MI and served his country in the United States Army where he completed a tour of Germany. Tom then married his beloved wife Helen Louise Rowley on January 2, 1960. Together with their own hands they built a home where they raised three daughters, Tammy (Warren) Adams of Florala, AL, Diana Heiler of Ionia, MI and Terri (Eric) Walker of Fayette, AL. Tom was a Michigander at heart and fulfilled his dream f owning a boat and spending many days on the Lakes of Michigan. He worked for Lacks Industries for 18 years, starting as a buffer and worked his way into management. In 197 Tom and Helen purchased the corner Store in Saranac, MI ; they ran and operated the successful business until their retirement where they then resided in Florida. He was preceded in death by his Father William E. Goss, Mother Lelia Pearl (Race) Goss, brother Robert Goss, Gerald Goss, Shelby Goss all of Charlevoix, MI, brother William Goss of Saranac, MI and his grandson Paul Adams of Florala, Al. Tom's cherished legacy is that he is survived in death by his wife, 3 daughters, 8 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at the Lake Funeral Home in Ionia on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Noon with Mr. Landon Adams officiating. Interment at Easton Cemetery. Visitation will be on hour prior to services on Saturday. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to Gentiva Hospice or Sunset King Chapel in Florida.
