William (Bill) C. Goss, age 81, of Saranac, passed away Oct. 7, 2015, in
Saranac.  He was born April 24, 1934, in Charlevoix, Michigan, the son of
William E. and Lelia (Race) Goss.  Bill married Joan Fortuna Oct. 28, 1961, in
Grand Rapids.

He worked for General Motors for 20 years and served on the Saranac Village
Planning Commission.  Bill was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.  He
was a former Saranac Little League President and past coach.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Joan Goss of Saranac; children,
Chuck (Vicki) Goss of Greenville, Jeff (Pam) Goss of Ionia and Mary Rademacher
and Bobby Hernandez of Ovid; grandchildren, Tyler, Conner, Nicole Rademacher of
Ovid, Sarah of Minnesota and Rayna of Greenville; brother, Thomas (Helen) Goss
of Ionia, nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert, Gerald and Shelby;
mother and father-in-law, John and Nina Fortuna; and brother-in-law, John
Fortuna II.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015,
at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Monsignor Ed Hankiewicz celebrant.  Rite
of Committal will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Charlevoix, Monday at 1 p.m. 
Visitation will be held Friday 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Lake Funeral Home in
Saranac.  Rosary will be held 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.  Memorial
contributions may be made in Bill’s name to Saranac First Responders.
