Goss, at Detroit, last week, death being due to pneumonia. The remains were brought to Portland and funeral services held at the home of Mrs. Hattie M.R. Goss. Mrs. Goss was born in Elmira, N.Y., and came to Portland with her mother and sister in 1870. In 1876 she was married to John H. Goss, who died in 1911. Several years ago she went to Grand Ledge to stay with her daughter, Miss Vera, who was teaching at that place. Two years ago she went to Detroit to make her home with her son, her daughter also going to that city, where she has been teaching in one of the Highland Park schools. Besides the two children, Don and his family and Miss Vera, those from out of town to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Fiferlik, of Detroit and Mr. and Mrs. Len Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Will Odin, of Grand Ledge; Charles Smith, of Cadillac, and Mr. and Mrs. H.R. Rogers, of Detroit.
