The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, July 23, 1929

Willis Gott, born in Portland 59 years ago, died at Detroit Thursday after an 
illness of one year.  The funeral services were held in Detroit Friday and the 
interment took place in the Portland cemetery.  Mr. Gott is survived by his 
widow who was Miss Edith Sherwood before her marriage.
