She had been sick for the past year and her death at the early age of twenty- two, while not unexpected is a sad blow to her family and very many friends. She was employed in the winding room of Belding Bros. & Co’s mill No. 1 about four years, was a member of the Baptist church of this city and requested that Rev. C. E. Maxfield preach her funeral sermon. She was a member of the lodge of the Degree of Honor and carried a five hundred dollar insurance policy in that order. Miss Gould was well liked by all who knew her and many were the beautiful floral offerings sent from this city among them was a beautiful spray of roses from the room where she formerly worked. Among those from here who attended the funeral, which was held Thursday afternoon, were: Rev. C. E. Maxfield, Mrs. Luella L. Webster, Mrs. Kate Ritterstoff and daughter, Mary, the Misses Emma Chadwick, Jennie Morrison, Kate Parelock, Julia Holiday, Bessie and Lela McConnell and Effie Johnson.
