Gould departed this life in his 70th year on Sunday evening at the family home on Church street. Although his death had been hourly expected for the past few days, yet it was a distinct shock to his many friends, for though knowing he had not been well for the past two months, few realized it was so serious. The deceased had been a resident of South Boston and Saranac all his life, his oldest sister being the first white child born in Boston township and he the youngest child of the family being the last to go. Surviving his are his widow and two sons, Dr. Glenn Gould of Spokane and George Gould of Harbor Springs who were at his bedside when he passed away. He was widely known throughout the county as an auctioneer in great demand, a prominent Mason and patron of the Eastern Star for several years, an honored and upright citizen of genial personality. “Nate” will be greatly missed by his many friends. The funeral will be held on Wednesday at 1 o’clock from the family home under Masonic auspices.
