The Rev. H. A. Simpson of Ionia will have charge of the services at the chapel and Ionia chapter Order of the Eastern Star will conduct the service at the cemetery. Members of the church and the Eastern Star will also act as flower bearers and friends from Ionia will serve as pall bearers. The body of Mrs. Gould will repose at the home, 447 East Lincoln avenue, until Friday morning, July 12, when it will be moved to the Owosso funeral home. Mrs. Gould died July 9 in the St. Johns hospital where she had been taken for a major operation performed on June 16 and where she had remained in a critical condition until her death. Surviving her are her husband, Maynard R. Gould, and one son, Francis, 15, of Ionia; her father and mother; one brother, Burr Stoner and a half-sister, Mrs. Mina Dickinson, of Owosso. Mrs. Gould was born February 28, 1897, the daughter of Clark H. and Carrie L. Stoner, in Conway township, Livingston county, and went with her parents in 1909 to Owosso. She was graduated from the Owosso high school with the class of 1917 and later attended Olivet college. She was married to Maynard R. Gould, February 22, 1922, and lived in Owosso until 1933 when, with her family, she moved to Ionia. She was a member of the First Presbyterian church in Ionia where she taught in the Sunday school for seven years and took an active part in all other activities. She was also a member of Queen Esther chapter No. 35, Order of the Eastern Star, in which she was also active.
