Gould, 100, of Orleans, died Friday after more than two years of illness. He was believed to have been the oldest man in Ionia County. A resident of Orleans for the past 45 years, Gould had been a farmer all his life. He had been confined to his bed for the past two years. Before coming to Ionia county 45 years ago Mr. Gould had lived in Montcalm and Kent counties. Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. P. S. Griswold of Orleans, a son, John of Orleans, two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and six great-great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. from the Fales-Huffman funeral home at Belding. Burial will be at Orleans cemetery. Elder Jewell Bolejack of Ionia will officiate. Bearers will be Ray Christensen, Robert Pierson, Walter Reeves and Harold Robinson.
