Gould, widow of the late Dan Gould, a Civil War veteran, died at her home in Saranac Friday evening. She had been feeble for several years because of her advanced age but aside from a little restlessness and labored breathing for a few minutes there was no warning of the approaching end and she died before the arrival of a physician. She was born in Camden, Ohio December 19, 1840 and came to South Boston when 30 years of age and has lived in Saranac the past 35 years. Her marriage to Mr. Gould took place in 1872. Early in life she affiliated with the Church of Christ and clung to the denomination of her choice even after the church in Saranac discontinued its activities. Rev. Herbert G. Hurrell will preach the funeral sermon at the home in Saranac Monday and have charge of those held at the grave in the South Boston cemetery, where the burial will be. Two daughters survive Mrs. Gould, Mabel, who lived at home, and Mrs. Cora Mosher, a resident of Jackson.
